The new tanker is intended for transportation of oil and chemical substances. Her total length is 183 meters and deadweight – 50 300 tons.

“LSCSM adds the next ship to the fleet under its management to reach its maximum petroleum and chemical substance transportation capacity. We are delighted about the trust shown towards the professionalism and skills of our crews and ship management team. With a fleet of 22 ships we will continue providing professional services to our clients in line with the highest international quality standards,” says Robert Kirkup, the Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “Latvian Shipping Company”.
Tanker Elandra Palm is the second out of three new ships built by the South Korean based shipbuilding company SSP SHIPBUILDING.

The first of the three ships – Elandra Spruce – was received on January 11. The next addition to the fleet is expected in May when the tanker Elandra Oak will be added to the fleet.
