The container terminals of the port of Rotterdam have direct access to the North Sea. A strategic location, which allows visitors to enter 24/7. The state of the art terminals have a depth of up to 19.65 meters, making them suitable for Ultra Large Container Carriers (ULCCs). Nautical service providers safely escort sea-going vessels to the preferred terminal.

Choice of terminal operators
In the port of Rotterdam, shipping companies have a wide range of terminal operators to choose from. Some have direct access to the North Sea, others are conveniently located in the Waalhaven / Eemhaven. At the end of 2014, the first container vessels will be able to visit the Rotterdam World Gateway terminal and the APMT MVII terminal on Maasvlakte 2. In time, the Euromax Terminal can also expand from the current location on the Maasvlakte to Maasvlakte 2.
