Voyage Planner The MarineTraffic Voyage Planner is a novel tool for sea route distance calculation. What sets this tool apart is the fact that the routes are based on actual voyage data recorded by MarineTraffic, as opposed to algorithmic routing that does not respect maritime traffic restrictions, such as Traffic Separation Schemes, safe waterways, turning points etc. Since the routes are based on actual past voyages, the results are realistic but not always optimal. We invite you to suggest improvements for these routes and help us make this tool even better and more useful. Please share your feedback about the accuracy and the functionality of the tool. Note that this is work in progress - we will gradually incorporate more data and features. Not to be used for navigation.
